Its been a minute since I jumped on here to update, so this post is going to be a long one... :-)
First, December SNOWSTORM 2008 hit us the week before Christmas. It was a series of storms that dumped snow and ice over the Pacific Northwest. Needless to say the tires mom got us for Christmas was a GODSEND!! With the use of our 4 wheel drive and the tires we were able to get around just fine. This is a pic of the house after the first storm. This is nothing compared to what we looked like after 2 more rounds of fresh snow!

CHRISTMAS BEGINS...
So, I really wanted to get the boys a bunk bed. Josiah had grown out of his small toddler bed and needed a real twin size bed. I searched Craislist and found a great solid wood bed that is sturdy and can withstand the attention from 4 loving boys!
The night before Christmas Eve we enlisted the help of Aunt Michelle to get the boys out of the house so we could set it up without them knowing. She took them Christmas Light viewing for 2 1/2 hours... yeah I know... they have a saint for an Aunt!! Thanks Shelly!!!
So, we set up a secret camera and wrapped the bed with Christmas wrapping paper. When they got home we sent them up stairs to "get ready for bed". Quin was the first to get into the room and started shrieking "Its a big Christmas present!" I wish I could get the video of the surprise on here. I'll have to figure it out one day. I don't have pics from the actual night, but here are some from this morning (Their official 2nd night sleeping in them).

CHRISTMAS EVE!!
Our tradition is to spend Christmas with Ry's side of the family. Christmas Eve is dinner over at Tim and Eileen's house. They just remodeled their kitchen and it came out sooooooo nice!! During the evening we usually play games and open gifts between Grandpa Kevin and the extended family. This year we were late due to a late start and the weather. 5 hours in a car is no fun... especially crammed into a vehicle and can't stretch your legs... But we finally arrived and had a great short visit!
Tim starting to clean up!
Mama Jodee looking great and healing up!!
Ian and Asher
This is grandma Teresa with little Ry and little Keegs. She reminds me of my grandmother Evans. She is from New York, so I think it mostly has to do with her accent. But its great talking to her when I'm there.

Eileen and Tammy saying goodbyes.

Jo's ready!
Mariah handed out the gifts

Quin in his new PJs... these little monkeys reminded me of him! :-)
Connor was there too, power was out at his house due to the storm the previous night, so he joined in the fun.

Mariah super excited about this book... now mind you she just about read the entire thing over the next 3 days. It is a compilation of 3 books!!

Little Ry and his new Didj

Asher tackled this gift in no time flat...

He was more interested in eating the paper though!
Here he is pulling himself up onto the gift... such a strong boy!

After gifts and lunch it was time to play in the snow... Josiah is sinking into the snow with his legs sticking out. Quin is trying to dig him out.
They were all involved in a huge snow fight. Uncle Ry is in the orange cap, Connor is heading towards him while he pelts Mariah.
Mariah made a fort... It didn't save her though!

This is Ry's and little Ry's fort out front. They were trying to make an igloo...
Quinny found Papa's ear warmers
Later that evening Keegs family came over and we all opened presents as part of the gift exchange we do between the families. All the grandbabies fit on one couch! Ayden is actually not in the shot, he was sleeping.
Later the Gillispies came over. This is Jodee's side of the family. Below is Shaleesa. Isn't she gorgeous!
I had Shaleesa and Ry take a pic to match a different picture I have of the both of them when Ry was a baby.
Josiah crashed on the couch... long day!

For unto us a child is born... Happy Birthday Jesus!

After a late night, we all didn't wake up till around 10:00. So gifts didn't happen till like 11:00. Mariah and Ash wait patiently for everyone to get into the room.
